A transformation of an old municipal facility into a new elderly care home with 10 apartments and shared spaces. The new building is constructed on top of an reused concrete foundation on a heavily sloping site, with the main entrance in the existing ground floor. Inspired by the traditional swedish wooden facades, the red "faluröd" exterior is adapted to the rural surroundings. With a generous outdoor area and a focus on accessibility, the building provides a safe and functional accommodation for the senior population of Örnsköldsvik.
