Econef Day Care Center is the third and final phase of the Econef project and a collaboration with Asante Architecture & Design, Architects Without Borders, and Econef, a Swedish-Tanzanian NGO that aims to improve the standard of living for orphans in the Arusha area. With the help of private donations ECONEF is able to offer security and everyday necessities for the 13 children living at the Jua Kali orphanage.

The aim of the new ECONEF Day Care Center is to create a kindergarten for the youngest children living in the Econef Children's Center as well as for the local community children living in the nearby areas.

Women are the key to economic development in third-world countries. The kindergarten will be offer daycare for the local children in the area in order to empower more women to work, a step forward in achieving gender equality.
