A new elderly care home with 10 apartments and shared spaces. The new building is constructed as an extension to a smaller existing administrative building, also refurbished during the project. The building is located on a sloping site surrounded by nature, with the main entrance opening up towards a sheltered inner court yard. The wooden exterior is a combination of warm blue and green shades to adapt the building into the rural context. With a generous outdoor area and focus on accessibility, the building provides a safe and functional accommodation for the senior population of Örnsköldsvik.
