Can the future be bright?
The research project "Resilience House" aims to develop an innovative solution for a small-scale prototype house where energy supply, reuse, and environmental technology are integrated into an architectural whole, presenting a proposal for the future self-sustaining building. The purpose of the project is to explore principles for creating a more resilient architecture that better responds to today's challenges, such as increased crisis situations related to climate change or war, including disruptions in energy or water supply.
The ongoing research project was introduced with Resilient Futures, an exhibition accompanied by a seminar and workshop event debating new approaches to living in Nordic contexts, with focus on the aesthetics, construction principles and integrated solutions of future building typologies.
